“FISH TANK” Exhibition at the SVA NYC

Exhibition view at the SVA in New York, Levan Songulashvili

Levan Songulashvili, an artist in residence at the New York School of Visual Arts (SVA), is currently participating in the group exhibition “Fish Tank,” presented by SVA Gallery, NYC. The exhibition highlights Levan’s piece, “The Red Horizons,” an oil painting on wood panel that delves into political and social themes.

During his residency at SVA, Levan delved into exploring dystopian concepts through the creation of large-scale oil paintings on canvas. His creative process drew inspiration from two significant literary works: “The Revolt of the Masses” by José Ortega y Gasset and “The Hero with a Thousand Faces” by Joseph Campbell.
